Before we start this course, we will first look at what's covered during the training. The course is divided into categories, and within each category, you will find several videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos on the course. We update our courses regularly, and you will be able to see any replacements and also any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course. If you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You work through the course videos in order. And now we will give you an overview of what's contained in the course.

In the first section, we look at what a risk assessment is and why do we need to do it? How and why risk assessments reduce accidents? We will also talk about what a hazard is, what causes accidents, lone worker emergency plans, and risk assessments. This course also covers the five stages of risk assessment, ensuring that a risk assessment is completed to the highest standard. Manual handling risk assessment is a category within the course, it includes assessing high and low risks, assessing the individual move, assessing controlling risks using the TILE method.

The TILE method is also explained in a lot more detail. The final category covers personal protective equipment, cost control measures, ensuring risks stay controlled, and emergency procedures. These are all there to reduce possible risks.
